Grade 7 Buddhism

This 12-month Grade 7 Buddhism course provides a clear, progressive route through Buddhist teachings, exemplary lives, ethical conduct, mindful reflection, heritage and responsible participation in society. It is aligned to Sri Lanka Local Syllabus O/L at Grade 7 and uses original explanations, worked examples, guided enquiry and regular consolidation to turn syllabus knowledge into confident performance. Skills gained: textual understanding, ethical reasoning, reflective judgement, respectful discussion, application of values and appreciation of Buddhist cultural heritage. Target students: Students progressing through Grade 7 who want a dependable weekly learning structure, purposeful practice and measured progress toward school and external assessments. Assessment approach: Understanding is checked through short responses, structured explanations, reflective applications, source-based activities and term-style written papers. Teaching methodology: Stories, teachings and cultural sources are explored through guided reading, questioning, discussion, reflection and application to age-appropriate situations.
